I’ve always used anything that I can make and get my hands on. It is always an experiment, and that is what keeps things interesting. Being able to create my own effects really adds to the experience. Death By Audio builds some of the sounds I wanted to achieve, but couldn’t with anything I could get my hands on. We also build custom effects for bands which I think share some of this aesthetic, like Nine Inch Nails, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, and more.
