I came across A Place To Bury Strangers’ self titled LP about six months ago and can’t get it out of my head. At first listen you might even think “Who would like this?”. But after careful inspection, I found the album to be really spectacular. ??Sounds you might typically not expect to come out of a guitar or bass can be found on this record. The first track, “Missing You” is a prime example. It opens up and slaps you in the face with rumbling bass, war-like drums, and some sound that you can only assume is a guitar.
