Ackerman had been the guitars’ assailant. A killer who has crafted the sacrifice of his instruments to such a degree as to call it art. I watched through my viewfinder as he flailed through the strobe lights and dry ice. Every time I snapped a picture he was somewhere else, raging on the stage. He was in the back tossing the poor instrument into the air– FLASH. He was in the front, strangling his guitar — FLASH. It was monstrous. It was beautiful. After the show ended, I stared on, expecting the stage to quiver. No bullshit.
