Fredericksburg Songwriters' Showcase | Steve Warner |
From Dixie the waitress ... to redneck dogs ... to a town killed by the mall ... Warner paints vivid pictures of characters and places' The influences reach back to the legendary Jimmie Rodgers, the "Father of Country Music". The style suggests John Prine. The songs are distinctly original--ranging from traditional folk to pop country. While recording focus has been on single song demos in the past, an album project is scheduled for a Spring 2000 release. Warner performs in various writer-oriented venues in the Washington D.C. and Shenandoah Valley areas. He resides in historic Shepherdstown, WestVirginia.
