Fredericksburg Songwriters' Showcase | Terry Tucker |
Terry Tucker has performed in clubs and on radio and television in England, Germany, Italy and the U.S. and worked for BBC World Service Radio & Television, writing, arranging and recording songs. Childhood piano lessons and a degree in classical music led to writing songs and music and a move to London, England, where her band, Sunforest, released an album of their own songs, The Sound of Sunforest, on Deram Decca Records. This album was featured in the October, 2004 edition of Record Collector magazine. Film producer/director Stanley Kubrick heard the album and put Terry’s Overture to the Sun song in his film, A Clockwork Orange. The Warner Brothers CD soundtrack of this music is available from Amazon.com and most music shops. In the U.S., Terry has composed music and songs for an award-winning NPR broadcast of Children's Radio Theater plays, “The Sixth Annual Henny Penny Playwriting Contest”. The CD of Terry’s songs with Treehouse, Comin Home, is available on-line at www.cdbaby.com
