Fredericksburg Songwriters' Showcase Doug Helper

Doug Helper

Doug Hepler has been playing guitar/singing/writing songs and trying to get better at it for about 40 years. Influences range from the Beatles to blues to bluegrass to rock and folk. Currently studying flatpick style from the likes of Robin Kessinger, Robert Shafer and Steve Kilby. Doug can be seen and heard playing around the Richmond area with two groups: The Project -which is a more electrically oriented duo doing lots of originals, and with Daydream, an acoustic oriented trio playing folk and gentle rock and roll with a woman's touch
