Jack Erdie’s music is stained with mystery, beauty, and danger. He grew up in West Virginia, and soaked up the gamut of American roots music in an atmosphere of religious fervor and violence: He’s synthesized this melodic mayhem into a sound uniquely his own, and one rife with a sense of justice and social conscience.
