It's stated aim is to present a collection of resources useful to faculty, stu-dents, and researchers at the university level. The site has been devel-oped by people from the Library, University of California, Riverside. Information is categorized into several subject-oriented "infomines." The Librarians' Index to the Internet is a directory to Web and Internet resources. Each entry is reviewed before being included in the collection. Entries are arranged by subject area, and individual entries are alphabetized within a subject area. Each entry is ann

An entry consists of the title as a hyperlink to the site, an annotation or summary of the site, and hyperlinks to the subject area or areas for an individual resource. The subjects cover a wide range of topics.

You can locate entries by browsing the guide or by using a forms-based search tool. The tool allows you to search in the titles, subjects, annotations, or all fields of the entries. You may choose to search for a match to all or any of the search terms—in other words, a Boolean AND or OR, respectively. It's also possible to truncate words by including an asterisk (*) after a prefix.
